Meet Pastor Patricia Saffold
Patricia Saffold, the daughter of Henry (deceased) and Lillie Clayton, began her spiritual transformation on July 25, 1975, when she received Christ as her Lord and Savior, and within months she was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. Looking for spiritual nurturing and guidance, Sister Patricia joined Ebenezer Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Saffold, Sr.
Pastor Jonathan quickly recognized the anointed gifts in Sister Patriciaís life and appointed her secretary of the church. Additional roles included youth leader, Sunday School teacher and other positionsof service, as God led.On August 20, 1983, Patricia (Clayton) married Gerald Saffold, Pastor Jonathanís son.Patricia and Gerald have two beautiful children, Donica and Jeremy.
In September of 1990, Elder Gerald Saffold was inspired by God to launch out in ministry, birthing in prayer, Foundation of Prayer Evangelistic Ministries. Patricia, submitting to his leadership, became the director of the womenís ministry.As part of this ministry, First Lady Patricia labored in prayer with many women through Women Here In Prayer, (W.H.I.P.) a women-focused prayer group.The women were enriched through prayer breakfasts, hospitality trainings, and a host of other activities. Because of her faithfulness and obedience, Sister Patricia was trained and received a Certificate of Appointment as Pulpit Minister on October 5, 1997. Continued strength, endurance, and perseverance proved to be prosperous because she received her Ministerís License on June 12,2000.
Foundation of Prayer experienced tumultuous times in 1998.Being predestined to build Godís Kingdom and continue with the vision of the ministry, Sister Patricia was thrust into the role of Pastor in July of 2000. Under her leadership, Latter Rain Youth Ministry, Weathering Marriage Couplesí Ministry, Men of Valor Ministry, Womenís Prayer Ministry, Beyond the Walls Outreach Ministry and Prison Ministry were born. These ministries continue to play a vital role in reaching souls for the Kingdom of God.
On January 1, 2005, Foundation of Prayer united with Bishop E. L. Warren under the International Network of Affiliated Ministries, Inc. (INAM) On May 29, 2005, "Pastor PatĒ was officially ordained.
Pastor Pat attributes special thanks to Pastor Jonathan Saffold for his training, good counsel, and mentorship. He assisted her with book studies, weddings, funerals, christenings and other special services, during her time of transition into Pastor.Pastor Pat also acknowledges Reverend Donna Edward of San Jose, California and Elder Fred Edwards for their support, prayers, and encouragement.
